In order to be eligible for Workshop classes all interested students must complete the following classes. A State ID or Drivers License and Social Security Card are required.
1. Career Scope – Exploring The World Beyond
Approx. 2 hours, This is a computer assessment of your Interests and Aptitudes. The results will be explained to you during your Career Advisor appointment. While attending this class, be sure and request your access to the Key Train online pre-testing website. This class is in room 1209.

2. Key Train – National Career Readiness Certificate (web training)
Key Train is now a self directed online training program to help prepare for Work Keys testing. This pretest program is required for the 3 hour Work Keys (CRC) class. Students will be given access to the Key Train website during their Career Scope class. The 3 pre-tests must be completed before you may be scheduled to take the Work Keys Test. You may complete this pre-test at home if you have High Speed Internet Access or by visiting the Transition Center Computer Library. The Transistion Center computer library is available from 7am to 5pm Monday through Friday if you do not have high speed internet access at home.
3. Work Keys – (CRC)
Approx. 3 hours, This is a TEST of your Math, Reading and Locating Information skills. Each of the 3 tests are approximately 55 minutes long. You may schedule to take them all at once or individually. If you do them separately PLEASE show up at the beginning of the scheduled time! We MUST have your completed REGISTRATION FORM prior to your test date. Also, please arrive 15-20 minutes early to verify your registration for this test! This class is in room 1209.

4. Career Scope Assitance
This class includes Career Scope Interpretation, Job Search Worksheets, Training Checklist and initial WIA registration paperwork. The class runs about 90 minutes. Before scheduling a one on one with a career advisor, students who are undecided on their career path need to sign up for the Career Scope Assistance Class. This class is limited to only 5 people per class.

5. Career Advisor Appointment
Approx. ½ Hour, This is an individual appointment with a Career Advisor to discuss your options and to develop your Individual Education Plan (IEP) *You may schedule an appointment for your Career Advisor while you are taking the Career Scope Class.

6. 15 Hour Pre-Scholarship Workshop
These class sessions cover Study, Test Taking and Critical Thinking Skill. Current or recent students and those who have obtained a B.S., B.A. or Higher Degree may speak to your Career Advisor or Suzi Pruitt to obtain a Waiver for this workshop!
